These services start with an interview and assessment. Through this assessment, counselors get to know their clients and their mental health goals. Partial Hospitalization

Partial hospitalization programs are a viable alternative to residential programs. At Sanctuary Wellness, we offer three levels of care. Our most intense mental health treatment plan is a partial hospitalization program (PHP). You don’t live at our treatment center; instead, you get to return home after a full day of services.

Partial hospitalization programs offer condensed mental health treatment with treatment spanning between one and three weeks, depending on your needs. This allows you to get mental health treatment without taking a lot of time off work, away from school, or apart from your family.

Who It's Right For?

Partial hospitalization programs are designed for people:

  • With severe mental health disorders
  • Who have other health conditions
  • Who have unstable living conditions
  • Who lack social support in their home environment
  • Who have a co-existing addiction and need a hospitalized detox before mental health treatment

How Long Is It?

Partial hospitalization treatment can last between a week and three weeks, with a few days of hospitalization where required.

What Can It Treat?

A PHP can treat:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • PTSD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Personality Disorders
  • And Thought Disorders

What to Expect

With a PHP, you can expect to start with hospitalization if you are at risk for self-harm or harm to others. Severe symptoms that impair your ability to care for yourself might also necessitate a hospital stay.

After that, you will come to our mental health treatment center in Tennessee for a full-time schedule of services. Your treatment services typically take place every day of the week for up to eight hours per day.

Your treatment can include the following:

  • Medically supervised detox
  • Individual counseling
  • Group therapy
  • Skill building
  • Medication management
  • Case management services
  • Experiential therapy

IOPs are another alternative to inpatient care, providing clients with a part-time schedule of services. You can come to our mental health treatment centers in Tennessee and Florida in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Intensive outpatient programs might be a recommended treatment plan for moderate symptoms, but it can also be the level of care you choose after completing a partial hospitalization program.

Intensive outpatient programs are designed for people:

  • With moderate mental health disorders
  • Who have completed residential or PHP treatment
  • Who have stable living conditions
  • Who have social support in their home environment

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • PTSD

Outpatient Program

The lowest level of care is a traditional outpatient plan. This is intended to be your final step as you transition back to your daily life. Traditional outpatient programs only meet for a couple of hours each week rather than multiple days per week. Outpatient care is a great option for people with mild symptoms they want to learn how to control or those who have completed previous levels of care.

Who It's Right For?

Traditional outpatient programs are designed for people:

  • With mild mental health disorders
  • Who have completed PHP or IOP treatment
  • Who have stable living conditions
  • Who have social support in their home environment

How Long Is It?

Traditional outpatient care lasts longer than the other two because it's less demanding. Depending on your circumstances, you can expect anywhere between a few weeks, a couple of months, or even a year or two. Traditional outpatient mental health care has more flexibility for long-term commitments without interfering with your regular schedule.

What Can It Treat?

Traditional outpatient programs can treat:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • PTSD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Personality Disorders
  • And Thought Disorders

What to Expect

With traditional outpatient, your services are at our mental health treatment center in Tennessee. You have a couple of hours per week of treatment.

With outpatient treatment, your focus shifts away from individual and group care. You can expect the following:

  • Group therapy
  • Skill building
  • Experiential therapy
